Itinerary

SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS FULL DAY

Hotel pickup will take place at approximately 7:30 a.m. to begin our tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will have the opportunity to visit Andean villages that, to this day, keep the customs and traditions of past eras alive.

Our first stop will be at the impressive ruins of Pisac, an archaeological site combining agricultural terraces and ceremonial centers with a privileged view of the valley. At this same location, we will visit the typical Pisac artisan market, where you will find a wide variety of handcrafted items: scarves, textiles, rings, silverware, and much more.

We will continue our journey to Urubamba, capital of the Sacred Valley, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch featuring the best of local Andean cuisine. After savoring the region’s typical dishes, we will head to Ollantaytambo, an imposing Inca fortress home to beautiful temples dedicated to water, the sun, and other Andean deities. The town of Ollantaytambo, with its cobblestone streets and water channels, exudes a deep Andean mysticism.

Our final stop will be Chinchero, known as the “land of the Rainbow.” This is the highest point of our tour, where we will learn about Inca textile-making and traditional fiber-dyeing processes. Finally, we will begin our return trip to the city of Cusco.
