Itinerary

DAY 01: CUSCO – KILOMETER 104 – AGUAS CALIENTES

Our journey will begin at 6:00 a.m. with the pick-up at your hotel. We will head to the Poroy station or the Ollantaytambo station, where we will board the train that will take us to the starting point: kilometer 104, known as Chachabamba.

From Chachabamba, we will start the hike of approximately 2 and a half hours until we reach Wiñay Huayna, a fascinating Inca spiritual site that preserves terraces and ceremonial structures in a setting of lush vegetation.

We will continue our ascending route to Intipunku, the “Sun Gate”, where we will be rewarded with an unforgettable sunset and an imposing panoramic view of Machu Picchu. From this point, we will walk about 45 additional minutes to the citadel, where we will board the bus that will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in a previously reserved hotel.

Meals: Lunch and dinner.

Accommodation: Hotel in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 02: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

We will get up at 3:30 a.m. to board the first bus ascending to Machu Picchu. Once in the citadel, we will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, during which our expert guide will reveal the historical and architectural secrets of this Inca sanctuary.

After the explanation, the guide will say goodbye to the group and you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own or, if you have booked in advance, climb Huayna Picchu to get an aerial perspective of the citadel.

Later, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to board the train back to the Ollantaytambo station, where our team will be waiting for you to transfer you back to the city of Cusco.
